This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Vantara (“Vantara,” “we,” “us”) collects when you use our website, applications, and related services (the “Service”), how we use and share that data, and the choices and rights available to you. Please also read our Terms of Use.
1. Data We Collect
- Account & Contact Data: name, email, password hash, country, language.
- Service Use Data: in-app actions, settings, progress calendar events, reminder preferences, and feature use.
- Health-Related Inputs (User-Provided): descriptions of lighter muscle/tendon discomfort, activity type, perceived severity, and self-reported progress. Do not submit sensitive medical details you are uncomfortable sharing.
- Device & Technical Data: device type, OS, app version, IP-derived general location, identifiers, crash/diagnostic logs.
- Cookies & Similar Technologies: analytics and (with consent in relevant regions) advertising/retargeting on our marketing site. See our Interest-Based Ads & Cookies Notice.
- Support & Feedback: messages you send us, survey responses, and feature feedback.
2. Why We Process Your Data (Legal Bases)
- Provide the Service: create/maintain your account, show tailored progressions and calendars, send reminders. Legal bases: Contract; Legitimate interests.
- Improve and Secure the Service: analytics, debugging, safety, preventing abuse. Legal bases: Legitimate interests.
- Communicate with You: service announcements, transactional emails (e.g., receipts, reminders). Legal bases: Contract; Legitimate interests.
- Marketing (where permitted): newsletters and promotions with opt-out; in the EEA/UK, only with consent where required. Legal bases: Consent; Legitimate interests.
- Compliance: meeting legal/financial obligations. Legal bases: Legal obligation.
3. AI and Your Data
Vantara uses AI to generate educational guidance from your inputs. We do not sell personal data. We may use aggregated and/or de-identified data to improve models and features. Where we rely on third-party processors (including AI infrastructure providers), we bind them by contract to process data on our instructions and not for their own purposes.
4. Reminders and Notifications
If you enable reminders, we process contact/channel data (e.g., email, push) to send calendar-based nudges and progress prompts. You can change or disable reminders in settings, or unsubscribe from emails via links in the messages.
5. Sharing
- Service Providers: hosting, analytics, communications, and customer support vendors under data-processing agreements.
- Legal & Safety: to comply with law, enforce terms, or protect users’ safety and our rights.
- Business Transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, with appropriate safeguards.
- Advertising Partners: only on our marketing surfaces and only with required consent (see Ads Notice); we do not share your exercise journal content with ad partners.
6. International Transfers
We may transfer personal data to countries that may not provide the same level of data protection as your home country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal data for as long as necessary to provide the Service and for legitimate business or legal purposes (e.g., tax, security, dispute resolution). You may delete your account at any time; we will delete or anonymize data we no longer need, subject to legal retention obligations.
8. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. 9. Children
Vantara is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child provided us data, contact us to delete it.
10. Security
We employ technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. No system is 100% secure; please keep your account credentials confidential and notify us of suspected issues.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version and update the “Effective” date. If we make material changes, we will provide additional notice where required.
